Vina Enoteca - Palo Alto

I absolutely love Vina Enoteca! We're so fortunate to have it located so close to the hospital. I probably visit at least a couple of times a month, whether for Stanford events or when I have guests. The highlight of the menu, in my opinion, is the pizza. Their margherita pizza is an exquisite example of Neapolitan wood-fired pizza—simply perfect! I highly recommend enjoying it fresh at the restaurant, but I've also ordered it for takeout and it was still delicious. The menu does change slightly with the seasons, and I really enjoy their ravioli and bolognese. However, I’m not as fond of the cacio e pepe. They make all their pasta fresh in-house. I appreciate that they welcome well-behaved dogs both indoors and outdoors! Their wine list is excellent, and I've shared many great bottles here, all of which were hits. I usually try to make reservations on Tock when dining with friends, especially on busy nights like Fridays and Saturdays.

We visited this restaurant on a Saturday night. Overall, the food was quite impressive, but the service fell short of expectations, and the noise levels made it difficult to enjoy the experience. If you choose to sit indoors, you'll be lucky if you can hear the person next to you. Rating: Food: 4, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 2.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal with exceptional service, reminiscent of experiences I haven't had since before the pandemic. We were too full for dessert, but I highly recommend saving some room for their creative dessert offerings. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience, and we plan to return.
