Bidrage med feedbackAuthentic Tuscan on the peninsula! Nicely done if a little *too* speedy service
The food here was unremarkable. The taste and presentation were mediocre at best. Even visually, the dishes weren't appealing. The Focaccia was closer to Indian Naan than traditional Focaccia, and the pasta was bland with a flavorless sauce. The only saving grace on the entire menu was the pizza. Vegetarian options: They are few.
Really good food, the treatment received from the staff was good, highlighting how well Ali served us at the bar. We will be back soon!
I had an okay experience here. The calamarata pasta was delicious. Perfectly cooked pasta and seafood. The focaccia however, was very underwhelming. It was basically plain pizza dough with some olive oil and herbs for $15.
The worst restaurant experience we've had in a while. The food was truly mediocre. We ordered the grilled romaine. It was a joke. Imagine taking a romaine lettuce out of the fridge, cutting it in half lengthwise, slapping it on the grill to barely char, then garnishing with half of a cherry tomato and two small slices of avocado. It tasted just like a bite of refrigerated romaine. For a main course, we had a pizza (can't recall the name unfortunately) with way too much prosciutto and shaved cheese. After removing all of the prosciutto and cheese, the remaining pizza with arugula and mushroom had good flavor. Note that the prosciutto was not cut like the rest of the pizza: I don't see the point of putting the meat on top if I'm going to just have to take it off to eat. The pizza crust though was limp and wet. Not crispy at all. Maybe the temperature on their oven is wrong? A pet peeve of mine is when restaurants don't bother to cut pizza evenly. The slices here were extremely uneven, with one cut dividing the pizza 25-75 instead of 50-50. Lazy. The ravioli was good. To top things off, we were seated directly next to the front door in a high top with a wobbly chair. Poor ambiance: they shouldn't have a table there.
