Ettan - Palo Alto

There has never been anything I did not enjoy at Ettan. The food is so tasty and unique. I recommend going with a big group so you can try more dishes. I love the sesame leaf chips. It's something I've never tasted before. If caviar is available I highly recommend ordering one for the table. They serve it with their Kulcha which is like a super fluffy pita bread instead of your basic stale cracker or bread other restaurants serve it with. The butter chicken paneer is a must and so is the coconut rice. We always over order because everything sounds so good but it makes wonderful leftovers for the next day. They have very beautiful and tasty cocktails. I always forget they have a full bar too so you can order what ever you want. The gorgeous decor will leave you speechless.

Expensive but very well made food. Most if their dishes are really good and made with perfection. My friends celebrated their engagement at ettan and the food was amazing for the event as well

No idea why monkey buns. Buns sprinkled with chutney powder? We would have preferred warm plates for those sitting in the patio particularly, in the winterseason. Tables were rather small and the passage narrow. Food just ok, wish we had more varieties on the menu Service was ok and as for ambiance, nothing extraordinary.

Yummy food. A nice ambiance. Attentive service. My only gripe are the prices go here on a work dinner. Otherwise you're going to hurt your wallet

Went here recently for my 30 somethingth birthday and it felt very age appropriate lol. The food was healthy and small portioned like my doctor recommends. The interior has plenty of natural lighting from the skylight so it was easy to read the menu without my glasses and it was upscale inside without feeling too pretentious. Overall the food was solid and high quality but nothing stood out except maybe the sesame leaf. I could have eaten 10 of those. My only complaint was the chutney sampler only had 2 to sample which is hardly a sampler.
