I came for the BBQ and ended up staying for the chicken tenders! The food was truly excellent!

When I tried to order a platter and asked for three ribs instead of a mixed selection, she became angry and insisted that we couldn't do that, even though the menu doesn't state any such restriction—it simply says to pick what you want. Then, while looking at the menu, I noticed that the plate with four ribs was cheaper than the one I was trying to order, so they ended up losing money by not allowing me to customize my order.

The food and drinks were delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. The waitstaff was friendly as well. However, there was a minor issue with our order being mixed up, and unfortunately, we had to deal with flies at our indoor table, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal as we kept having to wave them away from our food.

This charming local restaurant in a small town is fantastic. The lunch special offers excellent value and generous portions!

The food was quite good and the service was outstanding. The prices also seemed fair... so why not five stars? I'm glad you asked. The reason is fairly straightforward: while the brisket sandwich was delicious, it was just a bit too fatty for my liking. Fat can enhance flavor, but large chunks can be overwhelming. This may have just been an isolated incident, so I didn’t feel it warranted a complaint, which is why I’m giving it four stars. Additionally, the slaw had a bit too much vinegar for my taste, though that’s merely my personal preference and doesn’t mean it was bad. That said, I’m definitely planning to come back, and if the brisket turns out to be a one-time issue, I’ll update my review. Overall, this place is absolutely worth a visit, and I’m looking forward to enjoying a second meal there.
