Sal's Italian Rest - PALMYRA

Hard place, but very average food. Wonderful waitress, but she wasn't very present. For example, no refills offered on coffee. Long wait for registration to pay... Because was Kalbmarsala. It was watery, more like soggy baked slices in soup. The staff is tight, this is probably the reason.

Visiting New Jersey, which I think is the USA's pizza capital. That's the best pizza I've had for years. Crimson still spicy and light. Great tasting and incredible service. 10/10

Sal was a delightful surprise! We adored this hidden gem near Monticello Lake. The cuisine is delectable and the server was welcoming and entertaining. My husband and I are now regular patrons!

There are many Sal's Italian restaurants in the Virginia area, and this is another one to add to the list. I ordered dinners to go but was able to see the local ambiance of the restaurant. The food was good and well-prepared. The pizza rolls were especially delicious, but the chicken parmesan was just okay. Overall, Sal's is a great choice for comforting Italian food when you don't feel like cooking, but I wouldn't recommend it for a special night out.
