I've sampled most of their dishes, and my favorites include the Stew Peas and Rice, Curry Shrimps, Ackee and Salt Fish, and Cow Foot. The Bread Pudding is absolutely amazing. In addition to their delicious food, they also offer a wide selection of grocery items. Be sure to stop by and give them a try - you won't regret it.
My husband has been coming to this restaurant for a while now, ever since they rebranded as Island Grill 184. I hadn't tried it yet, so we decided to stop by together. The woman at the counter, who also prepared our meals, was very kind and made sure our food was to our liking. I ordered the stewed pork, which she generously poured gravy over. It was seasoned authentically and brought me back to Jamaica with the first bite. The portion size was generous, allowing me to save half for later. My husband ordered the Oxtail, describing it as flavorful, tender, and saturated in delicious sauce. He appreciated that it wasn't oily, enhancing the flavor. We were offered a side of a boiled medley of dumplings, potatoes, bananas, yams, and carrots, which we both enjoyed. Everything was perfectly cooked, ideal for soaking up the sauce without being mushy. I opted for a coconut water to drink, which was just as refreshing as I had hoped for. Despite the simple aesthetic resembling a small Caribbean grocery store, the food quality was not compromised in the slightest.
