Bidrage med feedbackWe ended up eating at Il Napolitano by accident, choosing it only because our kid was starving and had no patience to wait any longer. We have ordered Chicken Escalope, Veal Sirloin with Tuscany Dressing and a Pizza Quatro Formaggi. We chose Patatas bravas con alioli as a starter, which proved quite good. The pizza was absolutely great, perfectly balanced. Crispy thin dough, perfect assortment of cheese and herbs, tasty, natural tomato sauce. Just like in Naples. The Veal Sirloin was perfectly cooked and even the Chicken with gorgonzola cheese dressing was quite good. Because of the restaurant being relatively full at that hour, I've managed to get a glance on the aspect and size of other products, and I've came to the conclusion that we have made some of best choices available in the menu. Last, but not least, the service was friendly and professional, enhancing the overall impression. As a conclusion, if you are looking for some genuinely Napolitan pizza near Passeig del Mar, you may want to give it a shot. The location isn't delightful per-se, making you believe that you're eating at McDonalds, Pizza Hut or KfC. Nevertheless, although average, is not disappointing!
Decided to eat at the Il Napolitano restaurant recently with friends as we were staying in a hotel close by. Came here on our last evening in Palma. The hotel is located not too far from the main strip and the Marina, or Hard Rock Café. Would not travel to come here, only went as close by. Went to ask to look at the menu, the waiter was busy on his phone. He said the restaurant isn't open until 8pm, and that was it. We looked at the menu, he didn't invite us to stay or anything just do not think he wanted us there or could be bothered. They had a set course menu where for 15 euros, you get a salad, any pizza and a small tub of ice cream and unlimited drinks, was okay but the food was nothing special at all and so much you could drink. Salad tasted boring and bland, main course pizza was nothing special and the ice cream was okay. Service was not brilliant throughout and they force to pay a service charge, Menu said you get bread included, waiter said they have no bread. Definitely would not recommend and would never ever go again.
The food was good, except for the lamb as very little meat; good value for money but the décor was nothing to rave about. It seemed popular with a few locals which is a good sign. We had a pork escalope, pizza and lamb. Overall a reasonable meal.
We ate here as didn't want to venture far from our hotel. Mistake! There were only 2 other customers but the service and food were terrible. My husband's pizza was poor. I ordered the 2 course special Thursday menu: croquettes (acceptable) then chicken escalope which I could not eat after the 1st mouthful because of quality of both chicken sauce. After my 1st course the waiter didn't come to the table we had to go looking for him, then wait a long time. At one point he actually walked out of the restaurant in his coat. He didn't return to offer the dessert course so again we had to call him. The ice cream was in a small yoghurt pot and frozen solid uneatable. We had to go searching for him to give us the bill. I'm not surprised it was nearly empty each time we passed.
Lovely little Italian, just off the main road. Much cheaper than the Italians on the front. Friendly polite staff. Would recommend.
