Musashi Japanese Restaurant Sushi Bar

As someone of mixed heritage, I feel somewhat qualified to review Japanese cuisine. However, I must admit that I’m the only Asian in the world who is allergic to all types of tuna, so take my opinions with a grain of salt. I can only imagine that the sashimi is fantastic! It's surprising that this restaurant has been around for decades and I’m just now trying it. The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering current inflation. Every dish I had was enjoyable, but the standout items were definitely the seaweed salad and the soft shell crab. Overall, the Japanese cuisine here is excellent. Also, since it’s a white tablecloth establishment, I recommend dressing up a bit out of respect. It’s a bit disappointing to see guys in gym shorts and backwards hats—what the Japanese might call “yabanjing.”

Decent food but MOST AWFUL STAFF behind the counter giving us tons of attitude. The owners were friendly but not their entitled millennial employee allegedly of the opinion that guests exist purely for his personal convenience. My advice would be the owners chose their employees also based on their personalities. Now everyone is fit for customer service.

Overall good quality sashimi, soba noodles a bit soft. Back again in 2022, soba is still too soft. Sushi rolls are good.

The sushi here is fantastic—it's truly melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The same original team has been working here since I first visited over 25 years ago. Prices are typical for a sushi restaurant, although the Uni is on the expensive side at $30, but it is imported from Japan.

We were taken aback by the extreme rudeness of the female owner when we first arrived! One member of our party fell ill at the last minute, reducing our reservation from 6 to 5. Instead of understanding, the owner reacted as if it were a personal insult and accused us of costing her money. There were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant, so we should have walked out right then. This negative experience affected our entire evening. The food was mediocre and overpriced. We will definitely not be returning!
