Giuseppes Pizzeria - Palm Desert

This small non-blitzy place could be the best BBQ / smokehouse in the valley. Seriously. To culinary chefs from San Francisco put their heads together to make some of the best smoke meats and ducks I had in a long time. I live in Carlsbad and there are many tasty places between Encinitas and Oceanside. But even in this competition, these guys alone would be so good. In addition, they have several craft beers that nobody in Palm Desert has told a story. A connoisseur Delight.

Smoked chicken thighs with crispy skin, very flavorful. Hubby usually has left over baby backs but not this time. He ate them ALL. We'll be back.

Love love loved it! Adjust the ribs, scratched greens and fried okra! YumMY! Omg, the ribs fell from the bones, okra was fritted to perfection (and the sauce that came with the okra... whew! and the crowned greens had the right kick. If we're ever back in the area, we're definitely coming back.

Great grill! I particularly enjoy the pulled pork and ribs. They offer four different sauces: sweet, savory, mustard, and spicy sweet. I did notice that the hot sauce (Kansas City Ghost Pepper) wasn't as spicy as it used to be. I used to mix it with the regular KC sauce, but last night it was served on its own. The sides are just average, but I really love the garlic bread. There's a nice selection of beer and wine available, and sodas come in cans.

This restaurant is the REAL DEAL! The service was quick, and our pizza was ready right after we finished our perfectly golden, tender calamari (which wasn’t chewy at all) and the antipasto salad (small but packed with delicious toppings and dressing!). Don't hesitate to visit this place! We’re from Michigan and were looking for good pizza during our visit. We took a chance on this spot after reading mixed reviews about competitors, including some reports of poor service and food poisoning elsewhere. We’re so glad we chose this place! While it may not be the 45-minute bake you're used to with Chicago-style pizza, the cheese was fresh and the sauce was flavorful! It was a classic deep dish—messy and utterly delicious! Definitely deserves 5 STARS!
