Anaikatti - By the Siruvan - Pālghāt

Located about 40km from Coimbatore on the Kerala side, this resort is situated on a slope that leads to the river. Although the approach to the river is gated off, guests can enjoy the beautiful view from the River deck. The meal plan offers a variety of sumptuous dishes, mostly South Indian with a few continental options. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a small gym, a swimming pool (4 feet deep), and mini-golf for recreational activities. The resort also offers trekking into the nearby hills, although we were unable to partake due to rain. We did, however, enjoy a pleasant river walk to the meeting point of the Siruvani and Bhavani rivers, which was an easy activity on flat ground. The resort also offers a temple tour, which we did on our way back as the temples are located close to Coimbatore. The staff, who are mostly local, are very friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping staff quickly attended to our requests. Guests with mobility issues should opt for a room on flatter ground rather than those closer to the river, as all rooms are accessed via an inclined path making wheelchair accessibility a non-issue.

This restaurant review is absolutely amazing. The setting is serene and calm, surrounded by nature with the soothing sounds of the river and waterfalls. It is a perfect place to relax with the family. The resort offers a fantastic spa, gym, swimming pool, and holiday activities to keep guests fit and entertained. The staff at the resort are incredibly friendly, always smiling and greeting guests with "Namasthe", making you feel like part of the family. The spa experience is wonderful, with staff who are very friendly and knowledgeable about massages. The chefs and restaurant staff are also very friendly, and the buffet spread is excellent. I had the opportunity to try the speciality of Kerala, kari meen, which the chef was happy to prepare for me. The resort is located on the banks of the river Siruvani, providing a soothing atmosphere with the sound of the flowing river. We didn't do much sightseeing, but we did enjoy a night safari where we saw porcupines and rabbits. The resort also arranges pick up and drop off, ensuring a safe and worry-free arrival. Overall, it's an enjoyable experience that's difficult to put into words.
