Royal Crab Cajun Seafood House

Very nice place and service. had garnelen in garlic sauce. I'm really happy that a place like this has come to palatine. gluten-free there many delicious decisions!

My family loves seafood and we have been waiting to try this place. The seafood was excel lent. We tried the superbowl essentially a mix of crab, shrimp, mussels, crayfish, potatoes, corn and sausage. Two out of three of us like spicy food, so they gave us the garlic sauce and hot sauce (not the most spicy, but second most) on the side. One bag was just right for two adults and one child. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I would give this five stars for the food, as that was fresh and really delicious. A couple of minor reasons for taking a star off. The food is served very casually with bibs and gloves. If you are not prepared to make a mess, this is not for you. We have no issue with that, but would have liked to have had maybe an empty bowl or plate to put the food in. To be fair, I 'm sure they would have provided that if asked. The only other comment is that the beer selection is limited. It would be great if they could add one cider to the mix or perhaps offer a couple of basic wines for those who don 't like beer. That said, I appreciate that this is really meant to be a casual beer and seafood place and we 'll definitely go back.

So excited that this place is close to where I live! I have been here 4 times and have tried many of the items! The garlic butter sauce is a delicious standard but I highly recommend trying the Royal Special! It has the perfect balance of cajun,garlic and spice. I have enjoyed so many items and cannot wait to go back to try more! My good friend and I specifically went toRoyal Crab for our birthdays! I do recommend that you wear a shirt that you can easily roll up the sleeves! They provide a biband gloves!

The prices and food quality are exceptional! You truly get more than you pay for. It’s much better than Bob Chinn’s. The atmosphere is also very clean and inviting. I highly recommend this place!
