Bistro Hulu - MOVED - Paddington

Went here for some beautiful dumplings. All hand made - you can actually see them making them from an open kitchen area. Xiao long bau was so yummy we ordered 2 servings. They also had a giant one you can order which is full of soup- def going to try that next time

This place is amazing, and great value. The owners and staff are always super friendly and accommodating. I've had two birthday meals here and many other impromptu evenings, they never fail to provide a range of after flavours.. the menu allows breadth for something new to try each visit. Don't ever change!

Hulu used to be my favourite restaurant in Sydney for dumplings. I came back a couple of times recently and the xiao long bao seem to have fallen in quality. The broth tastes watery; the filling has lost some of its richness, and the dough doesn't hold as well as it used to and breaks too easily. Don't get me wrong, the food is still good, but not as it used to.

If people gave this 4 stars it must have been another chef. Dried out duck pancakes, undercooked steamed pork buns, microwaved dry mince parcels. Won't be back.

On the hunt for a nice Chinese restaurant around the North Shore we tried Bistro Hulu. Great meal amazing dim sums and generous portions. Add on great service it's a wonderful find in Crows Nest highly recommended
