The Tower Club, Oxnard

I walked in quite late and hadn't even glanced at the drink menu, but I was in the mood for a Rumchada and coffee. To my surprise, they didn't have the bottled version, so they made it from scratch for me! It was fantastic! They should definitely think about adding this creation to their menu. After taking a small sip, I poured it into my coffee, and wow! We also ordered the Hush Puppies and a large order of fries. Both were excellent, but I’ll likely be dreaming about those Hush Puppies until my next visit! Jeff and his team made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until he walked us out.

I arrived around eleven o'clock, and the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I can understand why this place receives so many positive reviews.

I attended a wedding here and was disappointed to find that the plated dinner served to our table was cold. When I brought this to the attention of one of the servers, they said they would inform someone. After waiting for 10 minutes without any follow-up, I spoke to another server, who took my plate and promised to report the issue. However, they didn’t even bother to heat my plate in the microwave or offer me another meal, so I ended up not eating at all. Later, the first server returned to tell me they had advised the bride and groom to consider buffet service instead of plated meals, which they claimed was the reason the food was cold. Frankly, it wasn’t even warm. I expressed my disbelief that a caterer would be unable to serve hot or at least warm food when plating. If I ever receive another invitation to an event at this venue, I will decline without hesitation.

I had a dreadful experience at the TOWER CLUB for the second time. The food was subpar, with my chicken and vegetables being burnt, and the menu was limited and unappealing. The cutlery and cups were both dirty, which was very off-putting. The service was slow; I had to wait an excessively long time just to receive condiments for my dry chicken. The table lacked any decorations, and to make matters worse, the tablecloth was stained. The overall look of the Tower Club is outdated and in disrepair. The restrooms had water leaks from the toilet, no napkins were available, and they appeared messy overall. I won’t be returning, and I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and makes improvements, including enhancing their staff service.

This venue is perfect for weddings and other events. It's a bit unusual to see bustling businesses on the lower level, but once you enter the top of the tower, the atmosphere completely changes. The space is spacious, well-organized, and has an elegant appearance.
