New Chicken Bowl Teriyaki - Oxnard

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! For just $8, I enjoyed a generous chicken bowl that came with rice noodles and vegetables. The broccoli was particularly great—just the right amount of crunch. The staff was wonderful as well; the lady who helped me was exceptionally friendly and polite. I highly recommend this place to the locals. Let’s support our local family businesses!

I ordered the steak bowl, and it was quite tasty, although there was an excess of rice and only two pieces of broccoli. The atmosphere was very inviting, as it seems to be a family-run business.

As for the food, I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl, which came with rice and vegetables. The quality of the chicken was impressive—there was little to no fat or chewy bits, which is a relief; no one likes biting into questionable meat! I was very satisfied with the chicken. I opted for the large bowl, and it was more than enough food—I'm definitely getting two meals out of it. However, the portion of vegetables was quite small, so I think I’ll request extra veggies instead of more rice next time. The teriyaki sauce was decent but leaned more towards a soy-sauce flavor rather than the sweet and thick teriyaki I’m accustomed to. And don’t forget to ask for their hot sauce on the side—it's delicious! Now, let’s talk about the drink options; definitely don’t skip on these! I tried the lychee drink and Thai tea, and they were both amazing! As for the location, it’s easy to get to, and there’s plenty of parking available. It’s situated right across from Taqueria Cuernavaca and close to Marshall's, so it’s a great spot if you want to do some shopping afterwards.
