Bidrage med feedbackWhile they may be a bit expensive for a local Chinese restaurant, the food here is the best in town. I always receive friendly service, and the meals are served quickly and fresh. It's a fantastic spot for dining in or for takeout. They offer incredible lunch specials that I love to take advantage of during my breaks. The staff is approachable and remembers your name, which adds a nice personal touch. Plus, they give a 5 percent discount on takeout orders when you pay in cash.
Love coming here! Whenever my mom comes up to visit me, we almost always make a stop here to pick up some food. The ideal time to come here is during lunch because they have a box that you can order for under $10 that comes with soup, rice, crab rangoon or spring rolls and your entree. There are definitely a ton of other Asian restaurants in Oxford and this definitely leans more on the Americanized Asian food section, but it is still very good! The restaurant is spacious and feels like you can actually have a conversation in here, unlike a lot of other restaurants in Oxford. Whenever I come here, it seems like a popular place for kids to bring their parents who are visiting or for the actual adults who live in Oxford. It is not as heavy on college students. I will definitely be coming back here once we come back on campus again.
This restaurant used to be one of my favorites uptown, but it has really declined since the change in ownership. The service is poor, the portion sizes are smaller, and the wait times are exceedingly long. Even worse, whenever I order takeout, the amount of food is significantly reduced, and the flavors just aren't the same. I'm very disappointed because it seems like the new owners don't understand the quality of service that a restaurant should provide. It's truly unfortunate.
We ordered the Kung Pao shrimp and General Tso chicken. The shrimp was served with a bounty of veggies. They left part of the tail on the shrimp, which my son commented. The chicken dish was a little thick with the sauce. I also found it to be too sweet. Overall, it was good.
Great find in a college town! I was expecting mediocrity based on location and price point. What I got was the opposite. They do an amazing amount of carry out business and their portions are huge. Started with the potstickers. They make you a big order so I asked for half fried and half steamed. I really enjoyed them and thought they were house made but the waitress indicated otherwise. They just seemed a lot fresher than most of what you get served in non Dim Sum restaurants. I enjoyed the slight sweetness brought to the party through the inclusion of corn but kid 1 picked it out instead. I had their general's chicken for my entree and a side order of fried rice for a $1 upcharge. The chicken was really good a nice amount of crunchiness paired well with juicy and tender chunks of chicken. The obligatory goo was also quite good although not very spicy. That was easy enough to fix by breaking up some of the hot peppers they included in the dish. I appreciate being able to adjust the spiciness to my liking. Our server was a college kid from the east coast. It was great to hear her perspective on the whole Miami experience once her section slowed down.
