Bidrage med feedbackStudents and faculty alike know that the unseasoned, unimaginative, and overall, underwhelming dishes at Lil's ain't worth your time.
I really enjoyed my lunch on Sunday afternoon. The food is very healthy and I understand, it is grown by the college. If you don't like healthy food, then you can have a sandwich, bbq, omelet freshly prepared. I am so glad that this is available to the students as well as our community. If we all would take our health more serious. Remember, you are what you eat!
It was my first time visiting Oxford Dining. We wanted to check out the food for catering to our upcoming sales meeting. One of the hot food served was gnocchi which was far better than the one from my favorite Italian restaurant. The tomato sauce was so fresh. The salad bar everything was so fresh. Butternut Squash Soup the best! so much flavors. Thumbs up! Thank you, Bon Appetit, for the wonderful experience!
What an amazing find Outside the Perimeter East! It's the dining hall at Oxford College of Emory University. My mother kept telling me to go and I'm so glad I did. Wow! These Oxford College students eats soooooo much better than I did back in the early 90s at Oglethorpe University. The big draw then was the gigantic Belgian waffle iron where you could tediously make an oversized waffle and put unattractive frozen strawberries and suspiciously crispy whip cream on it. Then you could get a poor quality burger MADE ON THE GRILL or opt for some of the gigantic pile of spaghetti noodles and choose either tomato or Alfredo sauce that simmered for hours in a gigantic pot. All of these choices and worse were a big disappointment when you're trying to get some study energy. In hope these kids know HOW GOOD THEY HAVE IT! They ought to be really on point with this Bon APPETIT unlimited organic fuel for studying. We weren't even there during the real lunch and dinner hours (on the weekend brunch is from 11-2). We were there at 3 in the afternoon and had a delicious organic salad bar with items like kale/apple salad, cucumber tomato salad, delicious cream of mushroom soup, oven grilled pizza and a massive amount of other choices. All for only $8! $8 for all you can eight! I mean EAT! The food was so delicious, nutritious AND wholesome. It's like the FOOD AND SALAD BAR at WHOLE FOODS- almost. Maybe even better. Not as many choices as Whole Foods but still sooooo much fresher and tasted better. The manager obviously has an eye for excellence. She instructed the pizza maker to make us some pizzas and it took a minute but I'm so glad he made them. I don't eat many carbs but I had to sacrifice the weight loss and eat 2 more slices of chewy high quality cheese pizza. I don't usually eat the crust but it was the kind I actually wanted to eat even though the pizza part was gone I'm telling you if you live nearby or you don't this is a special find. Every item is marked for calorie content too. There is a nice room for parties available for rent. don't know how Emory affords to feed their students this well. All of us old non student should take advantage as well. Maybe it will make us smarter. The only con was seeing the students there and feeling sorry for them having to study and write papers all the time rather than just write yelp reviews to kill the time like me!
We absolutely love this farm-to-table restaurant at Oxford College! There are so many options to choose from, and the prices are fantastic. We eat here every week for lunch between 11 AM and 3 PM.
