Bidrage med feedbackThis pub is the dirtiest pub I’ve ever been.All tables are dirty, smells really bad inside, looks like nobody cares about cleaning.Also where did you find the staff? They don’t care about customers they talking in the bar and people waiting in the queue to order. I did wait 45mins for one pizza….better talk to Dominos and provide you the pizza….
Visited this spot for breakfast before shopping in Templars Shopping Park over the road. Couldn't get a signal to order on the app the lady we ordered from at the bar wasn't particularly helpful. Food was quick to arrive okay considering how much it cost. Other staff we encountered were fine, but we probably won't rush back.
Superb staff especially Stacey, Tom and Callum. A variety of breakfast options are always available. However only one gripe, whilst I appreciate black pudding isn’t everyone’s favourite, as it’s on the menu it should be prepared and served correctly. Unfortunately, the kitchen usually overcooks the black pudding, which becomes shrivelled and hard as it loses its moisture, and/or it’s running with oil from the deep fat fryer ! On the plus side the eggs, the sausages and the other items are usually excellent and with only minimal waiting time. Overall great value for money.
I was refused to buy a pint accompanied with meal for 19 year old son as a belated birthday treat. However son was without proof of identity; despite the law stating, if you’re 16 or 17 and accompanied by an adult, you can drink (but not buy) beer, wine or cider with a meal. in addition the servers were no older themselves and when the serve came to confiscated the beer, had poor personal hygiene as smelt of body odour that put the end to my appetite. This experience has spoilt the belated birthday celebrations and left me feeling despondent. I shall not be visiting in the near future
I’ve been a customer of the excellent The William Morris (actually he was Viscount Sir William Morris CH OBE FRS GBE) in Cowley since it’s opening in 2003 and since becoming self employed in 2007 have been a regular morning breakfast customer, having the traditional 2-3 times weekly. Being a regular customer one gets to know the standard of meals one can expect, and that standard can vary depending upon the experience of the kitchen team. Unfortunately, the guys in the kitchen being out of sight, don’t receive the thanks and appreciation they deserve. So a few names I would like to recommend for example Brooksy, Lewis and Jared when he’s not managing front of house, to those I’ve missed apologies. Only one small grumble, today my usual black pudding ‘side’ was ill prepared and came out like a biscuit twice but I was informed it was cooked to spec ? finally a reimbursement was agreed (yet to be processed) In the circumstances the ‘spec’ needs looking at because having had the black pudding ’side’ for many years not only in Oxford, what was served today was overcooked like a biscuit and unacceptable which was most disappointing and took the shine off the usual excellent breakfasts we usually have at The William Morris, bits of shell in one of my eggs white didn’t help either. I must be clear however, Sophie our waitress did all she could in the circumstances and was most helpful and professional about the matter. In my experience this was a ‘one off’, I’ve been most satisfied with the meals I’ve had at The William Morris and particularly the breakfasts for over 20yrs and have no problem recommending their menu and breakfasts, the most economical in Oxford. I shall return again tomorrow morning for something slightly different, with the usual high expectations.
