Bidrage med feedbackGood fish and chips with good service well worth a visit to sit outside and enjoy the view. Batter was crisp and not greasy and the fish taster fresh. Enjoyable meal.
Kizzies is a hidden gem! After being disappointed with the buffet breakfast at our hotel, we stumbled upon this charming restaurant and were thrilled with the quality of the food. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast made with fresh, local ingredients including perfectly cooked bacon, eggs, sausages, beans, tomato, toast, and served with a side of tea and coffee. The beautiful outdoor seating by the canal was the perfect setting to enjoy our meal in the sunshine.
Our dining experience on Thursday night was exceptional with all four courses being amazing. The starter was especially delicious and I could eat it every day. The service was welcoming and the students working there did a fantastic job. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. If I could, I would give more than 5 stars for the value of our meal.
Upon arriving for lunch at this restaurant, I was initially unsure due to its setting resembling more of a college cafeteria than a traditional restaurant. However, we were warmly greeted and impressed by the menu, which featured appetizers like hake and main courses like roasted pheasant and flat iron steak. The food exceeded expectations and was prepared to the high standards one would expect from a five star hotel. Although the service was a bit slow, it is not the place to go for a quick lunch. Nonetheless, with two courses for only £7, it was the best value lunch I've ever had in Oxford. This hidden gem is unfortunately not open regularly in the evenings, which is a shame.
The food is first class and the trainee waiting staff very eager and friendly. It's a lovely quiet space for chatting and the prices are barely above ingredient cost. We were made to feel so special. The orange cheesecake, with some hints of bitter orange was the highlight for me. I will be back.
