The Plough At 38 - Oxford

The best place for a Sunday roast. The belly pig was divine. Skin was super crisp. It's a cook. Staff, where amazingly very friendly and accommodating. After 6 hours in the cold from London to Oxford, they gave us much needed blankets to keep us warm and toast, and all life savings. Thanks for making our Oxford experience great. Great service! The staff was super friendly and attentive. The drinks came out quickly, and the fish and chips took a while, but were worth waiting. The chips are perhaps the thickest and most crispy I've ever had. Such a pleasure! It was obvious that they were made easy and not heated as in some other places. The fish itself, while a little oily was delicious and done to perfection. The tartar sauce could use a smudge less salt, but still the entire experience was wonderful! Come back.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Only for drinks and our group was very satisfied with the bar manager Pasquale! His attitude and knowledge were about expectation. The drinks he made were fantastic! I recommend old fashion.

Amazing evening experience. From the moment we went, until the moment we went, we were spectacularly hosted. The attention to detail was to be seen everywhere. The service was personal and professional and not overlaid. The food really made the evening together. There is clearly someone out of the back who loves to put their personality on a plate. Visiting Oxford for a holiday. Wandering through the town we spotted this bar and decided to stop for some refreshment. We were promptly seated and presently served. The server was fantastic, offering a friendly, professional and courteous manner. The drinks and food arrived as ordered, despite us both having let's say particular requirements.
