The Cape Of Good Hope - Oxford

Great atmosphere, amazing food, brilliant for sport with massive screens and brilliant sound. Also the staff are amazing really can’t wait to come back!

We were dropping our son off at the start of his second year at Oxford. We decided to have a bit of a pub crawl on the Cowley road, as you do!!, The cape of Good Hope is an excellent starting point for either Cowley Road or the more interesting St Clements Road area. As it was a crawl, we were not in the pub for too long but a few things made it stand out as somewhere worth spending a bit longer. It is a big comfortable pub with good sports coverage, there is a lovely outside area and everything was clean. The best thing was the service, very prompt and friendly. The staff member asked for my son's id and then thanked him for being so polite when showing it. Little things like this make a huge difference and I would be happy to revisit any time.

Great food best we’ve had in Oxford in ages. We often go for a drink but tried the food and is well worth it

Great drinks and great cocktail menu. The 2 4 £12 cocktail menu was great and me and my friends really enjoyed trying them all. We did not stay for food but seeing others around us eating the food looked great so we will certainty be back try some.

Great for live sport and an amazing selection of beers. Staff were friendly and inviting. Would recommend
