Chef Rooster - Oxford

I heard that this is one of the best French restaurants in the city. We made a dinner reservation and the restaurant was busy until then. We were served delicious bread and butter. For my meal, I chose a 2-course vegetarian option, starting with a balsamic-roasted entree on bread, which was tasty. I had the curry dish for my main course, it was just okay in flavor but the portion size was generous.

Excellent service and eating was very solid. we really enjoyed the atmosphere here and the staff was extraordinary that they could say they enjoyed their work. for them alone, I would very much evaluate this place. that said, a similar level of care goes into the food they use, with creative colour and colour tones in everything that was brought to our table.

We had a wonderful birthday celebration at Pierre Victoire. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The prices were reasonable, around 30 pounds for a three-course meal. The cheese souffle was the best I've ever had.

My sohn found this beautiful restaurant online and told me that the booking was recommended. but we did not book because it was a Monday night and we started. we had really happy to get a table! all they had was a little table at the door, which initially did not look so attraktiw, but very glad that we said yes. I can see why they say book! they have a nice prix fix menu with a large selection and a very well rounded wine list, from which I chose a very nice half bottle côtes du rhône. we went for two courses: starter main. my son had the duck bonbons the steak frittes that were both delicious. I had to start the carpaccio and the monkfish with crab Risotto...seriously yummy! the atmosphere was lively chic, the service was attentive and comprehensible, presentation was stylish everything they would expect from a family-run French restaurant. c’est vraiment excellent;

I didn't have high hopes for this place but I was pleasantly surprised overall. I had the mussels to start which were big and juicy, really good. My partner had the frogs legs which were really pathetic, don't go for them. . Mains were steaks which were great. Drinks were over priced so the meal was rather expensive overall.
