The pub is great, with a menu way different from traditional (same chain) pubs. If you look for a different place with lovely food and g the greatest service. We tried some of the pizzas and some starters. The pies that ordered my wife and daughters were very taste. Although the food was great, the best by far was the service. Charming and super sympa, the best of Headington. Great job Paul and Pippa

I consider this my local, despite being nearer to seven other pubs. The beer is well conditioned and there's historically been an excellent selection (which will return if more people turn up). The food is reliable and sensibly priced nothing to phone home about, but solid pub fare when I can't be bothered cooking. Also, there's a cat.

My husband and I decided to grab a quick meal at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were warmly welcomed. My husband ordered chicken goujons and enjoyed them, but the real star of the meal was the steak pies we had as our main course. The pies were filled with plenty of meat, surrounded by delicious pastry, served with creamy mash (or chips in my husband's case), peas, and a jug of tasty gravy. The staff's attentive and caring attitude, especially considering we were taking a break from visiting the local hospital, was greatly appreciated. Thank you. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and is a hidden gem.

Interesting menu we had a Delicious burger and plates of food halloumi and chicken bites. Friendly welcome and atmosphere and good service. Will certainly be returning.

This local pub in the back streets of Headington is fantastic. It is always bustling with happy customers. I personally enjoy having San Miguel on tap, but those with more refined beer preferences will appreciate the variety of ales available. The owners are friendly and have become ingrained in the local community, organizing fundraisers, supporting sports teams, and hosting various events. The meals I have had there have been excellent, and the kitchen staff are always accommodating when I have visited with larger groups.
