Bidrage med feedbackMy new favorite place for roasted chicken. So juicy, so delicious. My dad loved it.
We loved the old JnL2 and were sad when it closed. We were really excited to try Rock Island and we were not disappointed. We had a ten-inch thin crust pizza with Italian sausage, mushrooms, red onion and no provel. The pizza was fantastic, especially the crust. It was slightly crisp with a yeasty taste, from Hummingbird Bakery, so good you will want to eat all of it. We also had side salads which were very reasonably priced and a nice size. The restaurant area has been expanded so there are fewer groceries, but they still have the nice woody interior with booths and tables. There are high tops near the bar with the tv. Soft country music adds to the ambience and allows for good conversation. The waitress was professional and very friendly. We are looking forward to a return visit. It is worth the drive in from Washington!
The restaurant has a spacious atmosphere and serves good food. While it's not extraordinary, it certainly isn't bad either. The waitress appeared to be new, but she was friendly. I believe it would be a great spot for lunch or dinner.
The food is excellent, the prices are affordable, and the service is great. We plan to make this our go-to spot for family dinners on Friday nights.
The service and food were fantastic! Although it might take a little while for your meal to arrive, it is absolutely worth the wait. Slow-cooked food is always superior, and I appreciate that they use local meat and some bread items. The atmosphere is lovely, and they are very accommodating for those with allergies. Thank you for choosing Gasconade Co. as your dining spot; it’s great to have such a wonderful place to eat close to home!
