El Llar De La Catedral - Oviedo

This is a lovely bistro serving a very good value menu del did, especially for the prime location overlooking the cathedral. Very friendly and helpful service and delicious food. I'm always wary of eating at such a prime location as they are usually expensive tourist traps but this was lovely. Would go again.

On the plaza of La Catedral de Oviedo sits a small yet fabulous cafe. A sliding modern glass door welcomes you in, and I felt like there was a Neiman Marcus department store attached in the back. Maria was fun, whipping us up a wonderful cafe con leche with a side of pincho, a small sandwich with manchego cheese and prosciutto ham. A great place to take a break after lighting a candle at the Catedral. Just plain fab!

Have been drinking wines three night in a row. Nice, pleasant, friendy and open staff. Too bad they were closed on our last night in Oviedo, on a Sunday.
