Verbena Kc - Overland Park

My wife and I went here on 9/27/23 for our first date since giving birth to twins. We are glad we chose Verbena. They got us in at an awesome cozy table despite no reservation, brought us complimentary champaign, and the food was fantastic. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Hubby and I both had the soup of the day, Cauliflower Bisque, and it was fabulous. We both ordered the Lobster Crab Roll which was wonderful and worth it even though it is the pricey item on the lunch menu. Our waiter Joseph was engaging, thoughtful and helpful but not intrusive. We will return.

If we'd have had something other than soup and salad, may have given them a 5. We'll definitely go back for dinner. Ambiance is lovely, in and out. Service was very attentive and soup was hot! Soup was delicious....

Will be back for a full review! Came in with a group from work so we were limited to a pre-fixe menu, but still had an amazing pork chop. We were in a very nice back room that could accommodate parties likely up to 30. We had quite a few of the wait staff working with us and every one of them was outstanding. Will be back to try the full menu!

I’m so sick of negotiating with poorly trained hosts. I don’t want to convince you to seat us for drinks while you’re holding a vacuum. My friends just had dinner there and you acted like we were there too late til closing which was an HOUR from the time we arrived. We asked for a booth then you tried to seat us at the bar. I’ve worked in food service for over 20 years I know all the tactics. It was my first time in to this place. I had to direct the host to ask the manager for us to be seated at a booth. Two were open. We said “just drinks” but clearly she didn’t hear us bc the table was set anyways. The server was great and the drinks were well crafted with great mocktail options. The atmosphere was great. It’s important to equip young people with the proper knowledge and etiquette when working in fine dining.
