Charlie's Bistro, Isle Of Benbecula.

We were ignored from the moment we arrived. When we asked if we could sit outside they told us no the manager wouldn’t allow us, we were then told we couldn’t have food and could only sit out front on a 2 man bench when there was 3 of us we weren’t offered drinks and all in all felt very unwelcome. I assumed with the restaurant being so remote they would be happy to accommodate tourists, however i couldn’t be further wrong.

Delicious food, an amazing atmosphere, and attentive, friendly staff. A perfect 100!

The food here is excellent, featuring fresh local ingredients. Don't miss out on trying the clootie dumpling! The younger staff members were especially friendly and attentive.

I couldn’t find any faults with this place if I tried. The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I ordered the surf and turf, and as someone who can be particular about steaks, I can confidently say it was cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the locally sourced venison with red wine sauce, and both meals were outstanding. If I were staying on the island, I would definitely eat here again. 10/10!

First of all the chef was only 17yrs old and he cooked one of the most amazing meals. The food was fresh and just fantastic. Very good menu. Can't comment of rooms as only went there to dine. I would recommend this place to anyone. Absolutely fantastic food. All best.
