The Senate Tavern On Bank - Ottawa

The peanut butter blue cheese burger sounds weird, so asked for the blue cheese on the side and it was such high quality! Added it to the burger, and yum! Never would have guessed it would taste so good. Chef knows a thing or two... Asked for it well done, too, and the waiter didn't scoff. He did mention, though, that they grind the meat so it's safe to have rare. Reassuring! Quality ingredients and masterful combination makes for great food, and together with the pleasant wait staff, Senate is now our favourite place in Old Ottawa South after 2 visits. We're going for a 3rd time tonight half price wings

We’ve been to this location twice. First time, we sat on the patio and it was packed. Beautiful extended patio with a walk up bar and hammocks. Second visit, we sat inside. It was really busy and the drinks and food took a little longer than our first visit but that’s to be expected with so many people being served. We will be back!

The staff here were so welcoming, I was new and they made me feel like I was a regular. They were playing games and very inviting. It was a great experience, they even went above and behond. Incredible staff , go visit them.

A great addition to Bank street! Awesome staff and a great menu. Definitely my new go-to spot to watch the Sens games

My group had a great experience here! Our waitress Alyssa was amazing at keeping everyone's orders organized and did an incredible job at keeping everyone satisfied. Tons of water was supplied, and we had a great time! Also we called ahead of time and asked if they had a table for 10 people, they said not at that time, and they took the time to CALL US BACK like 5mins later to tell us they had space open up! We also started with around 10 people as expected and ended up having our group almost double in size by the end of the night, and the staff was so accommodating of us. Will totally be going back!
