The Senate Tavern On Bank - Ottawa

This is a fantastic spot for watching all sporting events. The selection of food and drinks is excellent, and the service is top-notch.

I visited this restaurant for dinner with some friends while I was in town, and I absolutely loved everything about it. The service was excellent, and the all-you-can-eat ribs were incredible. There were plenty of TVs to catch the game from every angle, and the highlight was definitely the local beer on tap from Evergreen Brewery. I will definitely be coming back!

Might have the worst service in the city of Ottawa and surrounding area I have ever been to. In the middle of our meal and with 10 minutes left in a very close game. They forced us to move tables, because they claimed when we sat down there was a reservation, which they did not. Clearly from reading the other reviews this is a common problem. Which is odd since taking reservations and serving customers in a friendly way is a basic staple for any decent restaurant/ bar. If you have absolutely any other options, I suggest you take your affairs elsewhere.

Been there twice. Both time huge disappointment. I called and asked to see if they are playing F1 and they said yes but when we got there there don't have any F1 on TV. When we asked if they can put F1 on TV, they said only for small TV outside but won't have any commentary because they are playing music.We went there again for soccer match recently. Nobody said they was a reservation for table we were sitting when we got there. While middle of eating, they told us to move to another table. I've never been to a place where middle of eating, 2 servers asked us to move. Ribs were dry and tough to eat, diet Pepsi tased like water mixed with soda colour. Never going there again!!

I recently visited Senate Tavern for the first time and was extremely pleased with my experience. My friends and I stopped by for some casual drinks after the Christmas market in Landsdowne last week. Everything was fantastic, but what truly stood out was the service. Our server, Kate, was exceptional from beginning to end. She greeted us with a warm smile and was attentive to every detail throughout the evening. She made sure we had everything we needed and helped create a fun and memorable atmosphere. We will definitely return soon and hope Kate will be there again!
