First requested mayo and mustard on the burger than in the same sentence changed my mind and asked to NOT put the mayo and mustard but rather the King Eddy Sauce.. Waitress said yes. OK.Got the burger with mayo only and served on a small bread plate. I did not order a side so I get the skimpy plate. Had to request a coffee top up. I really likes the breakfast experience, not the lunch. I would return for breakfast, not for any other meal. My worry now is that inconsistency will not spread to the breakfast time.
We ate breakfast here during our stay in Ottowa. I had French toast and DH and DD had the King Eddy breakfast with eggs sunny side up. All very tasty and well cooked. I asked for 2 French toast instead of three as I cannot finish three. The waitress said "Saves waste, right?" and was very friendly and obliging. She brought extra milk for the coffee. Some places you get free refills but not here. Anyhow the whole thing came to $31.59. Very reasonable. Would I eat there again? Absolutely yes.
Went there on a Sunday for brunch following a bike ride. Needless to say we were both famished. They have a great patio and we were happy to be outside. As other guests were leaving we heard them comment to the hostess that they wish they'd been told that the kitchen was backed up by 45 minutes. The feeling is mutual on our end! At no point in time did our server 1- let us know there would be such a wait 2-apologize that the food was taking so long 3- say "it's just a couple minutes away". We just waited and waited. When it finally arrived I was shocked to see that my eggs Benny (mushroom and spinach) was bread less ...a Benny without an English muffin?!?! All it was ($13) was 2 poached eggs with sliced mushrooms (not portabello caps) and wilted spinach. I asked where the bread was and she informed me that this Benny did not come with bread. I mentioned the 45+ minute wait and asked if I could have a slice of toast. Her response: "not for free". In my opinion restaurants should let their guests know upfront about long wait times for food. Yes, they may lose a couple customers but they will likely return another time. On the other hand, not telling people leads to frustration and disappointment which will not lead to repeat customers.
Lugar lindo, varias opções de cerveja e música ao vivo, mas atendimento muito fraco, alem de demorar muito a mesa melecada. Nao gostei, uma pena pois o lugar é lindoo.
Eight of us went in on a Saturday night, terrible food and service, poutine was cold, plain fries were cold and the chicken was way over cooked, it was very dark brown consistent with being cooked in old grease . One person however did have the breakfast and was satisfied with it.
