Smoke's Poutinerie - Ottawa

The food and staff at this restaurant were excellent, excellent, excellent. The fries were cooked perfectly and the gravy had a perfect hint of rosemary with squeaky cheese curds. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

The Chicken Bacon Ranch poutine had minimal meat, cut into small pieces and spread throughout. The flavor was good but it was expensive and not very large. The cauliflower bites were served in a half-empty cup with very few pieces and no sauce.

The poutine was very hot and fresh! Would definitely order it again.

Do not bother visiting this restaurant, as they serve some of the worst poutine in Ottawa. The fries were not cooked all the way through, still retaining a raw potato texture and taste. The gravy was lacking in flavor, resembling more of a watery meat broth. I ordered the Pulled Pork poutine and although the pork had decent flavor, it had an unappetizing appearance more closely resembling cat food than actual pork. I suggest opting for a local chip wagon instead and supporting small businesses.
