Perkins Bakery - Ottawa

The restaurant excels at serving breakfast. It gets very busy on the weekends - we had to wait 45 minutes on a Sunday at 11:30. The service was fast and efficient, although it felt a bit rushed and curt because of how busy it was. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a diner, with large coffee and tea pots provided at the table. The portions are generous and there is plenty of parking available. The waiting area can get crowded, so many people wait outside.

I have been a regular at this restaurant for some time now, but my recent experience was disappointing. The toast was served cold, as you can see in the picture, and my eggs, which were supposed to be over medium, were overcooked and lacked the runny yolk. Our server was pleasant, but overall, it will be some time before I return to this establishment.

We always love going to Perkins. It is one of the few breakfast spots that offer shredded hash browns, which happen to be my favorite. If you order coffee, be sure to get a thermal carafe so you can refill your cup whenever you please. The service is always friendly and I highly recommend trying their apple pie – we love it so much that we often purchase a whole pie to take home. The restaurant is family-friendly with a special kids menu available. The free parking lot is quite large, and from what I could tell, the restaurant is fully accessible for wheelchair users, including their parking lot.

A fun breakfast place that offers a good variety of options at a moderate price. I think you get decent value for money (pre-pandemic it was better value for money like a lot of restaurants).Unlimited coffee and tea is nice (they bring a full kettle to avoid waiting for refills).We'll probably come again. Expect to pay at least $16.99 for a meal (without a drink).The tomato basil soup was not very good (wouldn't recommend it at all)

Came for the friendly atmosphere, stayed for the Peanutbutter Silk Pie!One of the best chains I have visited! Been to Ottawa 3 times and all three times I have visited here!
