Pelican Grill - Ottawa

We had a wonderful meal at Pelican and loved the renovations that included banquet seating. It felt like we had been transported from snowy Ottawa to a warm beach destination. The lobster bisque was top-notch, as was the pasta special with snow crab that we found to be exquisite. We also enjoyed the poke bowl and a delicious side salad that came with the pasta. In a previous visit, we tried the Clam Chowder, lobster and shrimp roll, and fish and chips, all of which were excellent. The drinks were great as well, and even though we were too full, the desserts looked fantastic. Overall, the food and value at Pelican were exceptional. The atmosphere on a lively Saturday evening in January was perfect, with tables spaced far enough apart to easily hear each other without being overheard by other customers.

This restaurant is incredible. It deserves a 5-star rating all the way! The service is excellent and the food is incredibly fresh and delicious.

The restaurant was busy and I didn't realize a reservation was needed, but the friendly staff managed to find us a table. The food was decent, not great or terrible, just okay. We only tried the fish and chips, so we may not have experienced the best dishes on the menu. I'm not sure if we'll return, but it was nice to give it a try. The staff was very pleasant.

Life has been busy and summer flew by...but with fall setting in and a beautiful day/evening it was time for another visit. We love the entire staff and they truly are our family (we can 't go long without seeing them The dinner was so mouth...watering good! (Just check the pictures My guy had the lobster and I had the salmon (it changes seasonally . There isn 't a thing on the menu that we do not like and when the rotation happens the new dishes are always a hit. As they are a restaurant and fish market their products are always fresh and top quality. So if you can 't stay for dinner (but you should!!! Then the selection of take home is wonderful. Drop by some time or make a reservation online..you 'll thank me later!
