Nate's Deli Express - Ottawa

Best for take out but there are a few tables. Nate's is well known across North America for it's smoked meat ( over 40 years). Many people in Florida know the name. Prices are great food is the best. There is no décor.

Every thing wa samazing there! really fast service really nice staff and alot of food opitions. I like to go at lunch but sometimes busy! I recomend anybody to go there. better then Dunns and better location. if you feel for something sweet there are brownie and chocolat bars and there are milk and juices. I didn't taste any smoke flavor or any flavor at all here. Why is it that both Montreal and Toronto have amazing smoke meat restaurants and Ottawa has none? I was starving and thought twice about eating the other half of my sandwich. When I started eating it there was a piece of smoked meat that I couldn't even chew, plus it was so tiny for over 7 bucks. Just tossed it in the garbage and left. It even looks like it was just boiled to death, no charring at all like a piece of rubber.

I gone to this express lunch location many times, Recently have attended two different occasions and have had quick enjoyable lunches. I had the smoked meat platter with my brother and we both enjoyed our lunch. Both of us commented that the sandwich was not like the Dunn's Montreal Jumbo smoked meat we grew up with, but enjoyable just the same. We were able to get our lunch, eat and have a quick conversation before returning to work. All with plenty of time to spare in our 1 hour lunch break. The people at Nate's Express lunch are friendly and food is served with a smile. I also went on a monday with my father and we both had the special of the day (hot chicken sandwich). Very affordable at $7 plus tax for a hot lunch. We had an excellent lunch with lots of time to chat and return to work within our allotted lunch break. i would recommend this spot for good food, quick
