Meow! That's Hot. - Ottawa

Large bar and excellent hot sauce with a variety of flavors! The owners are friendly and really cool and do a lot for Ottawa's live comedy and music scenes. It is worth checking and supporting this place.

The atmosphere at this restaurant is incredible. They have an excellent selection at the bar, and the owners are fantastic. You'd be crazy not to try some of their hot sauces!

I have not visited this restaurant before, but it is a wonderful place to support. Despite the challenges of Covid, the owners are keeping up their spirits and maintaining great service. I can't wait to return and enjoy some delicious food and drinks!

Came for an open comedy show here. I like the name and I like the atmosphere. Industrial but local abstract art on the walls. Beers were good, decently expensive and had some craft highs in the refrigerator. I didn't try to visit her food, but want to go back and give it a taste. I bought a hot sauce and it's absolutely delicious! I'll make another review if I come back and have food, maybe they get an extra star?

Wish I could give 3.5 stars. Not sure what to make of this place honestly. I did enjoy my time here overall. I love that they provide you with the sample hot sauces and you can try them all out and use as much or as little as you'd like on your meal. We sat around for a while trying every one! The hot sauces are good, really unique flavours. The owners were super nice and friendly and chatted with us for a few minutes. Unfortunately the food fell flat for me. I was surprised at how high the prices were for what you get. I ordered a pasta dish with some zucchinis and other veggies in it. I mean, it was edible, but it was really tasteless and it was cold. It looked and tasted like leftovers that I could have made at home. I was disappointed that I paid $15+ for it. It honestly made me sad because I was having a good time otherwise. They have a drink menu too which is pretty typical, nothing special. The interior is fine, they have a wall where you can see all their different sauces and buy some if you want to. Ambiance is alright. Overall the location kind of sucks though imo. They have a parking lot directly next to the store, but as far as we could tell, you can't park there? You don't exactly have a great view out the window of the gas station across the road either. I understand these are things that can't be changed, but it does detract from the overall pleasantness of the location. Overall I think this is a cute spot to stop by for the sole purpose of trying out the hot sauces, but I was severely disappointed in the food. Would probably go back and try the food again, as maybe this was just a one-off thing, but I'm not in any hurry to do that.
