The Clocktower has become on of my places of choice for meetings, with collegues, friends, family and sports team especially. The staff is proud to serve their patrons great food, knowing the regulars by name. The menu is varied, offering items for all tastes and this summer, they offer items on special menues for the 150th celebrations (please keep if possible as the menu offers varied and delicious options.) Also, most items on their menu come with a recommendation of one of their craft beers, the Rasberry Wheat is a favorite. Everytime I come in, for a beverage or a meal, we are always warmly welcomed and often rapidly served, and it is more than a pleasure if our server is Sherry ;) They accept reservations which I recommend on certain evenings. Stop by and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, inside the pub or on their patio, and treat yourself to delicious items from their menu.

We stopped in with friends initially for a beer. They have 8 or 9 of their own beers on tap - I tried their amber and their brown ale. Both were excellent. So we decided to have supper. The food is basic bar fair but done well. Fish and chips (fish a little glassy, beer batter coating was nice and crisp not burnt, meat loaf full of flavour and filling but not too compacted.) Service was reasonable - friendly, but just not too attentive. The ambiance was good, excited conversation but not too loud and the décor was heavy into the wood finishes though some were starting to look a bit worn as were parts of the carpeting. But it's the kind of place that I'd be comfortable stopping gin to have a pint on the way home.

"Clock Tower" was the very first place in Ottawa we have had our dinner in. No disappointment from our side, on the contrary, we enjoyed our meals! Salmon was good and local red wine was tasty. Service was perfect. It's a cozy place.

Fiood standard pub fare all three of us had the same fish and chips.....the chips could be better as they tasted like packet sort of....but over all for a quick snack and a drink acceptable.
