Bidrage med feedbackWell. Not often I go here because it's crazy expensive for a burger combo. Today was my last visit. New location, horribly and weirdly setup inside (hire an interior decorator). So I get there. The place is DEAD. Girl at the counter was weird and socially awkward. Order a #1 COMBO with a shake to go since I'm absolutely starving. I normally don't open the bag and snatch a quick fry or two on the drive home, but today was the day I should have. I get home. Ready to destroy this burg and fries, open my bag and guess what? NO fries!!!! How does this happen when you have one customer in the restaurant and not even busy? What a JOKE!!!
Hintonburger is Ottawa famous however this way my first time going. I had fairly high expectations. You order at the counter when you walk in, sit down and your food is brought to you. There aren't an overwhelming amount of options which is good. After ordering and paying, the server told us that our food would be ready in about 10 minutes which it was. It is a good burger, but I agree with other reviewers in that the price is a bit too expensive for what it is. At almost $15 for a combo, you could get a much bigger and better burger elsewhere.
Disappointing meal here at their newest location. We ordered burgers, waited, and when our burgers arrived, hubby's burger patty was cooked but stone cold. Not room temperature. Cold. So how does that happen? Could it be that they precook their burgers? Sent it back and when it returned it was luke warm. Waitress apologized... They were out of takeout supplies. Told the cashier and she told me where to find them so I filled them. This is a basic item that the restaurant needs to stay on top of. The workflow for the kitchen and entrance is poor with staff coming out of the kitchen and having to cross through the line of people waiting to order. As you wait to order you can look into the seemingly disfunctional kitchen. It would really help to fix this flow. Move the order counter back so there is room for the lineup. Move kitchen access to behind the order counter so staff don't have to go thru the lineup. Move the supplies counter so it is more aligned with pickup and seating. Staff were pleasant. Would I return? Unlikely. Would I recommend? Not at this pont.
First time eating here, after living in Ottawa for 7 years. But wow this is a good burger! I had the Hintonburger, which was great. The perfect amount of condiments, a nice bun, and a good burger. The fries were also great almost Lafleur quality french fries, without too much grease. The only thing that brought down my rating is the wait (more than 15 minutes), and the cost (around $20 with tip for a combo). But I would definitely come back!
I usually order the Armstrong burger with fries and a canned drink. It's a great meal when you're just heading home, the food is very hot but there is sometimes a bit of a wait if it's really busy. It's an alright burger with alright fries. It's good but nothing to write home about. The location is prime and since moving to the building on Bayswater, seating has been optimal. There's no AC last time I went (August 3rd) and it was so hot in there. There was a large, dedicated fan trying to move some air around to no use. The service was friendly and I'm so happy they've replaced the lounge that stood before it, however for the price, you could get a better value for more burger some place else. It's a great meal nonetheless and the new outside seating is very cute.
