Red Dog Grill - Ottawa

This marina tiki bar restaurant is definitely worth a visit! If you're longing for the Gulf Coast or South Florida, this place might just satisfy your craving for a little while. The service was exceptional—friendly and accommodating. The inside bar would make Jimmy Buffett proud, and the outdoor patio offers a beautiful view of the marina. Although the tiki bar wasn't open during our visit, it looked absolutely charming. We didn't eat since we had already dined before arriving, but the food being served around us looked fantastic. The cocktail menu was impressive, featuring a great selection of spirits, and there were plenty of options for beer lovers too. I highly recommend stopping by!

We felt as though we were in Florida, watching yachts, boats, and jet skis coming and going. We enjoyed dining al fresco on a lovely evening. The service was outstanding, and the food was enjoyable. It was a delightful night out!

I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. Its location was convenient, and the patio by the water was a major attraction. However, I can only give it three stars for a few reasons. We waited by the host stand for a while, and when the hostess finally came out, she simply asked, “How many?” There was no “hi, welcome to,” and she seemed somewhat annoyed. Once we were seated outside, the view of the sunset was lovely. The menu looked appealing with a nice variety of options. What frustrated me was that several items I wanted to order were unavailable. I understand that restaurants can run out of certain dishes, but I wish they would inform me of what’s not available when they hand me the menu. The food we did have was good—such as the Baja tacos and jambalaya—but I didn’t taste my children’s meals. One of my sons mentioned that his food could have been served hotter. Overall, it would have been a much better experience if it weren't for the unfriendly hostess and the lack of communication about the unavailable menu items.

Good Food. Our waiter was also very good. Nice views of Marina and Heritage Harbor area????

Pretty good food for the price!!! Great drink selectiond. Would highly recommend stopping in.
