Muzza's Pies - Otahuhu

We stopped by after lunch to grab some food for my dad since he was at home. Also spotted a custard pie so also grabbed one of those too. The pastry of the pie was quite flakey since it was flaking into the bag while I was holding onto it. I didn't get to taste it but it did smell nice. The custard pie was quite nice. The pastry was short and quite crunchy which I liked since it was the opposite of the smoothy and creamy custard. The vanilla custard also had a bit of cinnamon flavouring but not too much. It was a nice treat to grab.

Got the chicken and vege pie and the chicken cranberry and camembert pie both had over cooked bottoms. Was a bit average to be honest. The chicken was of good quality ????‍

My partner loves this place. If you grew up in Howick, you would know this place. Their pies are good and I recently tried their Lamington cake. It was super moist and yummy too!

Tremendous pie shop. Great range and availability of pies. Went with the mince and cheese. Perfectly cooked and temperature absolutely superb. A very clean pie which holds its shape, this guy definitely knows how to do a good pie
