Shu's Sushi Grill - Oswego

Sushi was good nice local spot, thought I would give it a try. Sushi was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is nice and clean. Prices are moderate but if you go during lunch they have a lunch menu that offers different combos. I definitely recommend this establishment. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I know this might sound cruel but the chef/owner doesn't even know how to make a nigiri. Seems only chef exp he got was from utube. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I have to say I was really let down after hearing such positive reviews. We ordered takeout from Shu's over the weekend, and it was only mediocre. My husband and I both got two rolls. We requested that they be packed separately due to his allergy, but everything ended up in one container. He did have a reaction that night, although we can't say for sure it was from the food. I didn't care for the spicy crab or shrimp tempura rolls I ordered. The rolls were excessively large and the seaweed wrapped around the outside was so dominant that it overwhelmed any other flavors. I really didn't enjoy them at all. We also tried the shrimp udon noodles, which were tasty, but the shrimp wasn't deveined, which I find strange. For me, seeing the vein is quite unappetizing. Overall, it just wasn't a great experience for us.
