À l'Aigle d'Or - Osthouse

This is the only restaurant in Osthouse so you either eat here or go hungry! The menu is in French and our waitress really didn't help us with the translation - we think she was more interested in assisting those who were going to spend a lot more money at her restaurant. The meal was average, unfortunately we picked the wrong meal from the menu and ended up with Fish and Chips!

We came here as a "package deal" which probably lead to that we were treated as a "package". Quit, but neutral service. The food - not particular in any way. Seems as a pleasant place, maybe the experience would have been different if we came as ordinary guests.

We had a good dinner here. The food quality is great, especially the linguini with fish was outstanding. The desserts are fantastic. Presentation of the food is ok, as is the service, which is more typical of a family diner or pub. But the food quality makes up for it. Overall lacks a bit of finesse.

The nightly special is a good choice but the chicken, snitzel with mushroom gravy, mushroom soup and the flat bread appetizer are also good.

Great restaurant (the only one in Osthouse) ! The chef (Jean-Philippe Hellmann) creates dishes on a quite high level and they are not only presented very well, but they taste just great ! The service is nice and the choice of dishes offers something for everybody.
