Mikes Place Family - Oshkosh

We were in search of a family-friendly spot for a quick breakfast when we spotted Mike's along the roadside and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a delightful surprise! The restaurant has a welcoming neighborhood vibe, and the staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast menu offered a wide variety of options, and the food was delicious—just what we were hoping for. Thank you!

This restaurant is perfect for a quick Sunday morning meal with the family. It’s designed to comfortably seat groups of four, but you can squeeze in six at a few spots, so be prepared for the possibility of sitting separately if you're in a larger group. The food is excellent, though!

What a charming cafe! The staff are incredibly friendly, and the food is excellent, all at reasonable prices.

We stopped in for supper and they didn't have many people working and a lot of customers but the waitress was good and never made us wait for order

This little diner has been around for a long time, has a strong following of regulars and I always love going there! Many of the employees have been there for 15+ years and the breakfast cook just celebrated her 30th anniversary with the restaurant! The food is very basic, no gluten free anything here or flavored creamer but everything is served with a smile and usually comes out super fast! A server at a different popular breakfast place told me Mike's has the best biscuits and gravy in town. Also Mike's has bacon with chocolate chip pancakes and a delicious Mexican breakfast wrap. I frequent many of the breakfast joints in town and this is by far the friendliest! It is one big family here between the customers and the wait staff and you will often find them exchanging stories and catching up with what has been going on in their lives. It is also a popular place for out of towners when they visit Oshkosh and I know the restaurant really looks forward to these special events guests. Another thing I love is that Mike's Place has the best prices in town and truly cares about their patrons. On Saturdays and Sundays it is not unusual for them to have a line to the door so get there early!
