Jansen's Bar Restaurant - Oshkosh

This restaurant offers a hometown feel with a casual Wisconsin atmosphere. The service is great and the food is excellent. The perch is available every night and the walleye on Fridays is a popular choice. The drinks are tasty and the portion sizes are generous with two side choices. I highly recommend this hidden gem in downtown Oshkosh!

I decided to visit this restaurant because of its name and the great fish fry I had heard about. Let me tell you, I was definitely not disappointed! The food was excellent, as was the service. I even had the chance to meet the owner, although I didn't get my high five.

When we arrived at the restaurant, Travis warmly welcomed us and Tina promptly took our drink order as soon as we were seated. We were in the mood for fish and Tina recommended the shark catfish dish, along with asparagus and sweet potato fries as sides. As two elderly ladies who dine out regularly, we were delighted with our experience at Jansen's. The chef was incredibly friendly and happy that we enjoyed the delicious meal he had prepared, which looked like something out of a magazine. It was a last minute place as everywhere closing, and we found a little gem of restaurants! The food was amazing and a band song to us as we ate on Valentine's night, very romantic! They were very nice to my 2 yr old giving her snacks n gifts! 10/10 recommend!
