Ground Round At River's Edge - Oshkosh

Saturday Prime Rub was delicious. Cooked perfectly. Wise they had horseradish cream sauce instead of just horseradish would be my only suggestion. My child ordered the center cut steak-cooked to order, tender, juicy, and had a great season that she did not even ask for steak sauce.

As for the food, I had a deep-fried Oreo encased in pancake batter with a side of ice cream, brulee bites, and tenderloin de Veau paired with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was delicious!

When we arrived, the dining room was closed due to a shortage of staff, but we had the option to eat at the bar or outside on the patio. We opted for the patio by the river, which offered fantastic views. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. The food was enjoyable and generously portioned. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

This is a fantastic spot for dinner. Although it's located within a hotel, it's conveniently accessible for those not staying there, making it an ideal dining choice. I visited on Super Bowl Sunday, and they offered an all-you-can-eat boneless wings special. All the wing flavors were delicious, and the fries were tasty as well. I ordered chips and cheese for an appetizer; while the cheese was excellent, the chips seemed a bit stale. I had the same appetizer on my previous visit, and the chips were just as stale then. The staff is wonderful and provides excellent service to everyone.

The food was enjoyable. I particularly liked the wings and sirloin tips; both were excellent. However, I wasn't a fan of the onion rings or cheese curds. The onion rings had too much breading and were overcooked, while the cheese curds were rather unremarkable. The service was decent; we only saw our waitress at the beginning and end of our meal, with no mid-meal check-in, but that wasn't a deal-breaker. Overall, we would definitely go back again.
