Mandarin Restaurant - Oshawa

Our regular Chinese food restaurant is relocating so we decided to order delivery from The Mandarin tonight. We were told that our order would be delivered within an hour....75 mins later we still had no food. Once it was delivered, we dug in. What a disappointment! The egg rolls were the only good thing about the entire meal. The chicken balls were dry and stale. The noodles were salty. The General Tao chicken was indescribable and don't bother with the "special" Pad Thai...Yuck! Even the sweet and sour sauce was terrible. $113 later and I'm going to throw every bit of leftovers in the trash. How can the food at the buffet be so much better than delivery? I will never order again. What a giant waste of money.

We only had a 5 minute wait (had reservations) to be seated .Waitress arrived immediately and took our drink order. Food was excellent-lots of choices.,especially the roast beef!! Great choices for dessert.

After discussing our taste we decide to go to the Mandarin, we where very happy of our choice. My in-laws still talks about it. Lots of choice and the food was excellent, we where there a Thursday so the price was good for what we had. Service is excellent. Will go back for sure.

Great selection of food. Kids enjoy eating here. We got there just as they were opening so food was fresh and it was not to busy yet. Staff were friendly.

If you're not aware Mandarin is a full buffet restaurant. Not only do your get Chinese food but they have a multitude of other foods as well. They have a complete salad bar, many selections of meats and vegetables. They will also have a pizza for the kids as well. They might have roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. Sometimes they have specials with Crab legs. There is food for everyone here. Remember it's not just Chinese. They Los have an extensive take out menu as well.
