Carribean Choice Cuisine - Oshawa

Looking for parking, I stopped in front of Island Cuisine. I'm glad I made it! I ordered a lunch special and I couldn't resist getting a roti too. Both had a lot of taste and really great spices. Thanks for the delicious food and chat!

I had jerk chicken roti for lunch yesterday, and it was unreal. Amazing homemade pepper sauce on the side too. Will be back again soon! The lady why runs the place was very pleasant personable too :

Island cuisine is absolutely my #1 stop when I'm craving for my roti fix. The flavors exponentially increase with every bite. Lovin' the hot sauce option on the side. I can never resist the ackee and salt fish and im always impressed that its available anytime of the day. Fantastic customer service and very welcoming vibes.

Food was tasty, however the filling in the chicken roti was majority potatoes and chick peas. Could be 5 stars if the price was cut by 40% or put atleast 50% more meat. $43 for 2 Roti and oxtail with rice and a meat patty is not bad, but I felt like a vegetarian burning more calories chewing. :

I know inflation is out of hand right now but $19.20 including tax is too much for a regular goat curry with rice and peas and coleslaw. To be fair food was alright but not worth the price. Will not be going back.
