Bulldog Pub - Oshawa

I do not recommend this restaurant for its food. I visited on a Sunday afternoon and found the drinks to be reasonably priced. However, the food was typical pub fare with small portions. The vegetarian wrap I ordered had minimal fillings, with only half a slice of green pepper and two slices of onions drowned in BBQ sauce. The owner served us and admitted to the poor quality, but said that the wrap was essentially a meatless hoagie. As a former pub owner myself, I was disappointed by the lackluster dish. I refrained from commenting, wanting to see if the owner recognized the issue with the food and its presentation. Unfortunately, she did not. In my personal opinion, I would not recommend this pub.

We found this restaurant to be conveniently located near our hotel, so we decided to have dinner there after a long day of traveling. The ambiance was cozy and resembled a traditional pub, and we enjoyed a delicious meal.

We stopped into the Bulldog bar grill for dinner and was very impressed. It’s half bar, half restaurant with lots of TV’ s to suit everyone. They offer everything from appetizers to burgers to steak. I ordered the Thursday rib and 6 chicken wings special for $21 and my wife ordered the chicken shrimp penne. Both orders came out quickly, hot and very good. Service was fast and very polite. Next time we’re in Oshawa, we’ll definitely be back.

Great food and service. Really friendly. They are one of the best around. I have a family member who is extremely picky. I was worried but, I am pleasantly surprised. It 's our go to restaurants

We recently ordered take out from the Bulldog due to all of the fantastic things we’ve heard about them online. The online order system was not working so I called to place my order instead and just did pick up. The server on the phone was friendly and pleasant, a great start. Placed our order for 5 meals. Ready in 20 minutes for pick up. I was impressed! All orders were correct. I found the portion sizes of the sweet potato fries a bit small. My fiancé had the fish tacos and said they were incredible. He devoured them in no time flat. Unfortunately the other meals were not good at all. The lobster grilled cheese was awful. The grilled pesto wrap was falling apart and very wet. Not pleasant to eat. We will try again and stick to traditional pub menu selections as people seem to rave about this place! Next time wings and nachos. I would not recommend for a ‘dinner’ type meal from this establishment.
