Washoku Gankozushi Umeda Honten - Osaka

Here you can taste traditional Japanese cuisine. Each court is set up with devotion. Although the food is made with the heart of chef (I suppose) they are Japanese traditional foods, so they can match your preferences OR NOT.

Ordered Fugo Dish and it is nice to try. I have the good at ground floor thus not sure about the experience on upper floor.

Big Japanese food restaurant. See a lot of Japanese local customers. Sushi squid deep fried are delicious. Good atmosphere good for family.

This restaurant is part of a local chain (I saw a few of them in town) but it has an authentic feel to it. The number of locals far outnumber the tourists. When visiting with one or two people, ask to sit at the bar, so you can see the sushi chefs at work. I chose one of the assorted set menu's including sushi, soup and tempura. Especially the sushi was very good, some of the side dishes were not exactly my taste. The quality was good compared to the price, would go there again when in Osaka.

Smoking is allowed which made the dining experience a little unpleasant if you are a non smoker. Not enough waitresses during busy periods. We had to wait quite awhile after indicating our intention to make our orders.
