Gasthaus Binder - Orth An Der Donau

Back from a weekend in Vienna we decided to avoid the highway to go to the airport.After some nice country side landscapes we found the Gasthaus Binder:courtesy, very good food, hosted 10 people without reservation at a late time.Roasted onion beaf was very good as were the cakes.last but not least cost was ok and they accepted credit cards (one of the few places we found during this trip)

The restaurant offers very good meal its quality is typical for good restaurants in this area. No matter where you eat here you get very good meal - mainly excellent meals with fish and loval wine. Therefore we were satisfied. Unfortunatelly we are not smokers and people in this part of Austria are smokers. Therefore maybe 90% of the restaurant is for smokers and only four tables in small room just behind the doors and also just next to the kitchen was no-smoker part. So there was not smell from smokers but strong smell from kitchen Hard to say what is worse. But this is typical and maybe also tradion here near of Vienna - looks like all people are smoking. On the other hand Carp Serbian style with Gelber Muscateler was excellent! Strongly suggest for all who like fish and wine. It was cold weather during our visit so we had to be inside. But there is very big outside part with many tables and children playground. This could be the optimal way how to enjoy the meal without the smell - visit it when the weather is better and stay outside. Than it is also good for children. Very good

Next to the front door where every time someone comes in you get a blast of cold air! So your hot food does not stay hot for long, plus being at the entrance you are away from the music and entertainment, you don't feel a part of the festivities. Fish was very good, not exceptional. I won't eat here again in the winter because of the dining area for non smokers.

Nicht für Allergiker geeignet!!!! Sehr unkooperative Chefin, die nicht bereit ist, auf allergiebedingte Bedürfnisse einzugehen!

Die Hälfte war ungenießbar – viel zu trocken und nicht essbar. Wahrscheinlich wurde es nicht frisch zubereitet, sondern nur aufgewärmt. Die Portion war dadurch eigentlich eher klein. Schade, denn ich komme jedes Jahr zu euch. Kastanienreis sollte auch nicht wässrig sein.
