Village Bakeshop - Orono

If you like pastries, or Dutch food and artifacts, this is the place for you. There's your Dutch cookies, Dutch cheese, objects with Dutch symbols on them,... I tried their homemade lemon pastries, and I absolutely enjoyed them. Definitely, a place I'd recommend.

People come from far away to buy wonderful sweet treats such as cookies, tarts, cakes, bars, donuts, eclairs, fudge, chocolates and bread to name a few. You're greeted bya very pleasant staff. There's also a coffee room upstairs which has a lovely display ofitems to purchase.

Go in once or twice a week for ham and some great cheeses the best apple fritters and chocolate eclairs. Nice homemade breads too. Love this place very addictive

I have had cakes, and all sorts of sweets from the Village Bake Shop and everything was excellent quality and well priced. The young ladies who work there are always helpful and polite

We got to this bakery about once every two weeks and are never disappointed. Everything we have every purchased has been fresh and tasty. My favourites are the fern tarts and empire cookies. The breads are great too and love the imported Dutch products. Service is friendly and efficient.
