L'Exquis - Ornans

We wanted coffee and ice cream. We were 8. She had many empty tables. But the largest had only 6 chairs. It was impossible for her move two chairs to either end and not allowed for us to do it.

On our final day in Franche Comte we decided to have lunch at L 'Exquis. As it was a Sunday we made a reservation and were placed at a table next to the river. A great start. Although the restaurant was full t waitress was quickly at our table to take an order for drinks at the same time bringing a large bottle of chilled water. By the time the drinks arrived we were ready to order and the waiting time for the food to arrive indicated fresh preparation but was not overlong. The smoked trout was incredible as were the fried gougons of trout. Throughout our meal the service was pleasant and friendly. Desserts were also enjoyed the best coconut ice cream it is possible to imagine. The bill for two people, two courses plus wine and a 'pression ' was a little over €50 which we felt was a fair price. I am sorry if some people have not had a good experience here we had a wonderful end to our vacation

...they took the order with half hour delay. They served to food to the table members with AN HOUR delay to each other!! The wine prices are too high in compare with the wine quality. The language barrier is the smallest problem here. Better to avoid this place.

We took pizza or all the ingredients are homemade. .the dough is very good...the hamburger is delicious. .the setting of the nice terrace
