Bidrage med feedbackThis restaurant offers some of the finest food in Orlando. The BBQ is absolutely delicious, and it’s more than just your average BBQ. The atmosphere in this historic establishment is matched only by the exceptional customer service! It's definitely a family-friendly restaurant. The salads are fresh, and the pulled pork is perfectly tender and flavorful. You simply have to check out their dessert fridge—what an incredible selection! The food, the ambiance, and the staff are all top-notch. You'll be hard-pressed to find a better spot! We traveled from Clermont, and we will definitely be returning.
The only reason I didn't give this place a full 5 stars is that many of the menu items felt a bit on the expensive side, along with the inconsistent interactions I observed with the staff. However, the atmosphere was fantastic! I loved seeing chickens wandering around the property. The decor is very quirky, almost like a collage of everything you’d find in someone’s garage, but in the best way possible—it totally works for them. It was fun to look around and discover all sorts of random items in the decor, from a water ski to a giant picture of Dolly Parton to mistletoe! As for parking, it’s available in the back of the building, with overflow parking across the street. Just a heads up: if you approach from the front, you’ll need to walk around to the back entrance, but it doesn’t matter which little road you take to get there.
The space is quite large, yet they’ve managed to create an intimate atmosphere. Outside, there’s a revamped VW van that provides a cozy spot to relax, which adds to the quaint charm of the place. We ordered a few different items to share, as we currently live in South Carolina and wanted to sample their traditional pulled pork sandwich (which was quite good!). We also tried the "Holy ****" sandwich (and it certainly lives up to its name!) and the Cuban sandwich. We enjoyed every single bite! We would definitely return if we're in the area again. Plus, they’re dog-friendly, which is great—otherwise, the name of the restaurant would be a real miss!
Decided to stop by Yellow Dog Eats since I was in the area and I'm glad I did. The actual entrance is in the back of the building where you walk through eclectic patio dining area into the actual building where you place your order at the counter. Once you place your order they give you a buzzer to come back to the counter to pick up your order. We ordered the Pugnacious Pug sandwich and The Dogs Famous Pulled Pork sandwich. At first glance I didn't think it was enough food but surprisingly after eating we both ate we were satisfied. The Pugnacious Pug isn't your average roast beef sandwich it was packed with flavors and the garlic aioli was the best part. The pulled pork was juicy and the sauce it was cooked in was flavorful. I usually hate raisins but the coleslaw had raisins and crasians in it and it really elevated the taste and texture of the coleslaw. Can't wait to comeback and try some other menu items.
It's been over 11 years since I first reviewed this place and I still stand by my first impression. I make a point to eat at Yellow Dog Eats anytime I'm in central Florida, and it's worth the drive. And oh my god, this is the best BBQ and seafood! YDE is in my top 5 favorite places to eat. The Poke Tacos are unmatched. The sauce is out of this world, chef's kiss. They have rotating beer from local spots and this is a great place to meet up with friends or enjoy a solo meal at the bar. The service is exceptional. I love this place with all my.. stomach. Worth the drive, your tastebuds will thank you.
